Dr.N.Muthukumaran Dr. N.Muthukumaran, Professor and Head of Department, Department of Neonatology at Madras Medical College, is a senior expert with 20+ years of experience. He has published numerous articles in Neonatology journals which includes both indexed and international journals. He has played a pivotal role in establishing public private partnership and presently neonatal cardiac surgeries from all over Tamil Nadu and other neighboring states are carried out. He has played an instrumental role in coordinating efforts in diagnosing and treating rare genetic and metabolic disorders in newborn. His active involvement in early identification and facilitations of advanced investigations under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS), our unit is now better equipped to identify genetic disorders early, even in the neonatal period.

Dr RAMYA S DM

Associate Professor

Associate Professor in department of Neonatology in Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College with 15 years of experience in a tertiary care center focuses on improving intact survival of high-risk and extreme preterm neonates. She is a Family Based Newborn care (FBNC) instructor. Her interests include neonatal resuscitation, sepsis control and parental counseling.

Assistant Professor in department of Neonatology in Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College. He is teaching experience of more than 13 years. He is an instructor and coordinator of National Neonatal Resuscitation Program –India (NRP India) and has conducted and organized Numerous NRP courses. Additionally he is a Family Based Newborn care (FBNC) instructor-India and he organizes training programs for medical students and staff nurses.

DR NARAYANAN E DM

Assistant Professor

Dr.Narayanan.E working as Assistant Professor in department of Neonatology In Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College. He graduated MBBS from IRT Perundurai medical college,MD from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal university ,Mangalore and DM Neonatology from Madras Medical college, Chennai with teaching experience of more than 17 years as on date . He has published more than 10 journals in Neonatology which includes both indexed and international journals and got second paper award in golden award paper in national neocon. He is an instructor and coordinator of National Neonatal Resuscitation Program –India (NRP India) and has conducted and organized numerous NRP courses for MBBS, MD students and nursing and other paramedical workers. Additionally he is an Family Based Newborn care (FBNC) instructor-India and he conducts and organizes numerous training programs throughout year for staff nurses , VHN, ANM thus teaching them essentials of newborn care. Besides all he has organized numerous CMEs in neonatology covering lactation and neurodevelopment.
